The Roll Call · Strat@comm · Fleishman-Hillard Public Affairs FirstView national public opinion survey assesses voters’ views at the very moment they chose their new President and Congress. FirstView is an in-depth survey that assesses voter behavior and sentiment and draws implications for the next president and Congress from the results. It is not an exit poll, but a nationally representative survey among actual voters from Election Day.
FirstView is uniquely valuable because it uses distinct questions to examine voter motivation and employs unique methodologies to reach a broad and varied audience in an incredibly timely manner. FirstView accurately measures what voters were thinking — and why — the actual day they went to the polls and pulled the lever. Because of the types of questions FirstView asks, respondents’ answers provide explanations for voting choice and implications for the next president and Congress.
FirstView uses techniques that have been applied since the 1968 presidential election to better assess voter sentiment. Whether jobs on Main Street, investments on Wall Street, or the selection of running mates impacted the results, FirstView assesses and profiles America’s election-deciding opinions as never before.
Results of the FirstView survey were released during through a live webinar on Wednesday, November 5. A recording of the webinar is available here.
